The 2025 International Day of Science, Technology & Innovation is a platform to inspire creativity, research, and entrepreneurship among Nigerian youth.
It features a Skills Development Camp (25th–30th August) for hands-on training and innovation showcase.
The grand Conference & Award Ceremony (16th September) will highlight impactful projects addressing the SDGs.
Winners receive cash prizes, mentorship, internships, and global recognition.
This programme is proudly organized by Peace International Interdisciplinary Research Institute (PIIRI) In collaboration with the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Science & Technology, Uyo.

To participate, applicants must:
1. Be a Nigerian citizen by birth
2. Be aged between 16 and 35 years
3. Have verifiable skills, talents, or innovations in Science, Technology, or Innovation (STI)
4. Be able to demonstrate or present a project, product, prototype, or research aligned with Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Showcase your project, prototype, or concept at the Exhibition & Skills Development Camp and the STI Conference. Explore the categories below and prepare your submission.
Projects or prototypes involving solar, wind, hydro, or bioenergy solutions. Demonstrate how your solution reduces environmental impact or increases access to clean energy.
Initiatives on biodiversity, waste reduction, climate change mitigation, or ecological restoration. Provide evidence of implementation, community impact, or scientific methodology.
Diagnostics, drug delivery, medical devices, or bio-based solutions. Show how the innovation improves access to or quality of healthcare.
Convert waste into usable energy or present novel recycling methods. Explain the underlying science and the sustainability impact.
Tools, research, or software for climate data analysis, weather forecasting, or impact assessments. Submit working models, simulations, or papers.
Mobile or web apps solving real problems (education, health, transport, agriculture, etc.). Provide a demo or screenshots, UI, and functionality description.
Models for language processing, prediction, or automation. Include a short presentation about the model, data used, and SDG relevance.
Robotic systems for automation, industry, security, agriculture, or services. Demonstrate prototypes or models (physical or video).
Visualizations or analyses using large datasets for social or environmental issues. Show methodology, data sources, results, and policy implications.
Tools or frameworks for online security, data protection, or fraud detection. Explain the security problem and how your solution works.
Design, usage, or innovation in drones for agriculture, logistics, disaster response, etc. Showcase a working model or detailed concept.
Unique, scalable solutions addressing SDGs (clean water, education, poverty, etc.). Clearly identify the SDG(s) and the pathway to impact.
Boost crop yield, soil health, irrigation, or market access. Submit prototypes, mobile tools, IoT integrations, or models.
Modernize local tools or techniques via science/technology. Provide a comparative analysis of traditional vs. upgraded methods.
Develop or use sustainable building materials or low‑cost alternatives. Showcase materials/models and explain environmental benefits.
Platforms improving learning or healthcare access. Demonstrate functionality, user engagement, and outcomes.
Tip: Bring visuals (posters, slides, videos) and any necessary adapters or power banks for your demo.
